Minsk, Mar 27 (Prensa Latina) – Ecuadorian, Venezuelan and Cuban ambassadors highlighted today here the integration process in Latin America and the Caribbean, faced with the hegemonic attempts by the United States and transnational companies, with a message of solidarity to Venenzuela.
Presenting the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) as the most complete bloc in the continent, Cuban Ambassador Gerardo Suarez highlighted the purpose of building a model of mutual benefit among those nations.
Suarez highlighted before teachers and students of the Academy of Leadership attached to the president the vast riches in the region and prospects of the integration process.
The principles of common benefit, solidarity and economic complementariness support the CELAC model, the diplomat remarked.
He also referred to the region’s commitment to nuclear disarmament and peace, recalling that Latin America was the first in the world in establishing an area free of nuclear weapons.
Suarez ratified Cuba’s condemnation of the executive order by US President Barack Obama, who declared Venezuela as an extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States.
Venezuelan Chargé d’Affaires Maria Antonia Cabeza went deep into the history of interventionist and destabilization actions by Washington against the Bolivarian process in Venezuela.
She warned that the most recent actions put peace and stability in danger, not only in her country, but also in the whole Latin America.
