Angola Exchanges Experiences with Cuba on Women

Luanda, Feb 4 (Prensa Latina) – Angola wishes to exchange experiences with Cuba in areas related to the full development of women, Cuban Minister of Science, Technology and Environment Elba Rosa Perez Montoya said today. “During a meeting at the Organization of Angolan Women (OMA), we saw the marked interest to discuss with the Federation of Cuban Women and other organizations, the issue of literacy and education, Perez Montoya told Prensa Latina.

The Cuban official, who is on an official visit since Saturday, Feb. 1, to this African country, stated that OMA secretary-general Luzia Ingles was also interested on learning respect to the scientific approach in the treatment to inequality and violence against women.

After receiving the CITMA minister, Ingles told the press that exchange of experience will also include researches about some obstacles that limit the progress of women, such as poverty.
