Havana, Cuba, Dec 24. (ACN) – Army General Raúl Castro, President of the Councils of State and Minister of Cuba, received Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Monday, in Havana. According to Granma newspaper both leaders exchanged views on the victory achieved by the Venezuelan Revolution at the recently-held municipal elections in that South American nation.
Raul Castro and Nicolas Maduro stressed the common goals and purposes of the Venezuelan and Cuban peoples and governments and they reviewed outstanding issues in the regional and international agendas.
Present at the meeting were Mrs. Cilia Flores, wife of the Venezuelan President, and the Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez.
