International Community Acknowledges Cuba’s Protection of Human Rights

United Nations, November 13 (RHC)- The United Nations General Assembly elected Cuba as a member of the U.N. Human Rights Council for three years, in recognition of Cuba’s record in that field.

“This result praises the trajectory of a Revolution that has guaranteed respect for the full dignity of every Cuban citizen, and has placed the principles of social Justice as guidelines of its programs and policies, sharing all in solidarity with other peoples of the World,” the Cuban Permanent Mission in the United Nations expressed.

The election also confirms the international trust placed on Cuba as important factor for the strengthening of the Council.
